A pronoun is the a word used in a place of a noun. There are six types of pronouns. They are- 
Personal Pronouns: Pronouns that stand for a person or a thing are called personal pronouns. The words I, we, he, she, it, they and you are personal pronouns.
Possessive Pronouns: Pronouns that tell us what belongs to whom are called possessive pronouns. The words mine, yours, his, hers, ours and theirs are possessive pronouns.
Demonstrative Pronouns: Pronouns that are used to point out people or things are called demonstrative pronouns. The words this, that, these and those are demonstrative pronouns.
Interrogative Pronouns: Pronouns that are used to ask questions are called interrogative pronouns. The words what, who, whom and which are interrogative pronouns.
Reflexive Pronouns: Pronouns that refer back to the subject of the verb are called reflexive pronouns. The words herself, himself and themselves are reflexive pronouns.
Emphasizing Pronouns : Pronouns that are used for emphasis are called emphasizing pronouns. The words myself, himself and herself are emphasizing pronouns.
